This Web site has been created by our Project Team, Oak Ridge Associated
Universities (ORAU) and its partners, MJW Corporation Inc. (MJW) and Dade
Moeller & Associates. In September 2002, the ORAU Team was awarded a
contract by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH)
to assist the Institute in fulfilling its responsibilities under the Energy
Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act
(EEOICPA).
The mission of the Project is to assist NIOSH by reconstructing the radiation
doses received by workers at various Department of Energy (DOE) and DOE
contractor facilities. This process involves personal interviews with the
claimants, retrieval and validation of individual monitoring data,
documentation of exposure conditions in site profile documents, and preparation
of individual dose reconstruction reports. The ORAU Team is also responsible
for the evaluation of Special Exposure Cohort (SEC) petitions received by
NIOSH.
Thank you for visiting our site.
